Grantech Engineering International Inc. GTI, is a quality and results orientated corporation providing project management, conceptual, front end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction management, commissioning and start- up services to the oil and gas industry.
Reporting directly to Grantech’s CEO, the project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating the activities of the engineering project.
Grantech is looking for a “Hands On” Senior Project Manager that will coordinate the following:
- Manager of all project Activity in the office
- Client Interface / Liaison
- Coordinate will all staff
- Detail Design #1 Priority
- Feed #2 Priority
- Conceptual #3 Priority
- Mentor the less experienced staff
- Device new approaches, apply existing criteria in new manners and draw conclusions for comparative situations
- Makes responsible decisions on matters assigned except those involving large sums of money or long range objectives
- Assigns and outlines work; advises on technical problems; review work for technical accuracy and adequacy
- Takes course of action necessary to expedite the successful accomplishment of assigned projects
- Recommendations concerning selection, training, rating and discipline of staff.

Main Duties
- Apply a diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in the design and management of oil and gas projects
- Responsible for engineering design, cost, scheduling and performance objectives of assigned projects
- Responsible for planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal and administrative functions of the project
- Uses advanced engineering techniques and theories to effective solving problems
- Ability to work with all levels of people, both internal and external to the organization
- A strategic thinker who has the ability to handle difficult and changing situations while interacting well with all stakeholders
- Establishes clear and achievable objectives through the process of proper project planning
- Responsible for maintaining project accountability, keeping stakeholders informed throughout the duration of the project
- Interfaces well with contractors, internal personnel and the client, monitoring and controlling various phases of the project
- Manages stakeholder expectations through weekly reporting procedures that balances the competing demands for quality, scope, time and cost
- Adapts plans and specifications to facilitate effective action in the face of unforeseen events
- Project scope development in close coordination with the client
- Close monitoring of project scope, raise engineering scope change order when required, follow all steps in implementing management of change (MOC)
Employment Requirements:
- 10+ years of project Engineering or Project Management experience with experience on medium to large sized project as an asset
- B.Sc. in Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent experience
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- P. Eng. with APEGGA
- PMP Certification
