Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, we are a privately owned Canadian company. Grantech specializes in Front End Engineering Design and Project Management consultancy services for projects based in unconventional gas plays, such as those found in North Eastern BC.

Leadership

Grantech Engineering International was founded by Grant Shomody, President and CEO. Prior to this business enterprise, Shomody also founded GranTech Engineering Limited and played a role as co-founder of VISTA Midstream Solutions. Shomody’s career began in 1989 as a process engineer for Quantel Engineering, and has since served in roles for Quest (an Alliance Corporation), Stanley Industrial, and Veco Engineering all while gaining an expertise in conceptual and process design through preliminary cost estimation, modular/skid based design for large domestic and international facilities, and compressed natural gas engineering development. Shomody earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta.

Shomody’s leadership and keen understanding of the industry has positioned Grantech as an innovator amongst the sea of engineering firms.
